Gathering in Circle is as ancient and familiar as time. We can all remember sitting around a campfire, telling stories and sharing ideas, cloaked in the intimacy and warmth of both the fire and those present. Peace Circle calls us to be who we really are. Gathering in Circle invites us to share what is most real and life-giving, to move into a deeper sense of space and connection, and to open ourselves to the sacred wisdom that exists within us all.

This next Peace Circle aligns synergistically with Earth Day, providing us with the perfect opportunity to have ceremony and express our love for the Earth. Our theme of Falling in Love with our Living Earth suggests there is a dynamic living relationship between us and Her.

Together we will explore and celebrate the many ways we have received this love and how we then give back so that all life may live in love, and with the Earth and Her resources. Space will also be given to acknowledge the pain, isolation and despair we may feel about what is happening to our Mother Earth, our home. Find the supportive community you are looking for who share your commitment and vision to live in love with our Living Earth – a love that will guide you in your day to day choices.

Circle Facilitators:

My name is Shirley Lynn Martin and I’m passionate about activating peace in our hearts and ways of being. I’m passionate about creating sacred space, where together, we develop our collective wisdom to best create a culture of peace and right relationship in every area of our lives.

I have partnered with Karen to create Peace Circles. As a facilitator, I bring 20 years of experience as a Soul Coach, Reiki Master/Teacher, whole life therapist and ordained Reverend. Peace Circles provides a great opportunity for me to bring together my training, my passion, purpose and wisdom. I’m grateful for my diverse formal (as well as informal) training, especially in the field of ‘Circle work’ from some of the best trainers in the field. I honour them as I now step into sharing Peace Circles with you.

My name is Karen McCarthy and I have always had a passion for creating safe, ecological and creative spaces for people to share, explore and transform their lives in authentic and meaningful ways. For over 18 years I worked with businesses, helping leaders and teams identify their shared purpose and build true, effective teams that worked together to achieve their goals. I helped teams create safe places where they could share the real issues and tap into their shared wisdom to create lasting solutions.

I have been a yogi for over 20 years as well as a Reiki Master for 9 years. My focus and passion has evolved to creating opportunities for building and experiencing greater peace within our lives and our relationships. My formal training in Peace Circle facilitation has allowed me the wonderful opportunity to partner with Shirley Lynn to use Circle to offer peace building experiences to people. In the sacred space of Circle we come together to create a place where we can nurture and deepen our connection to peace on earth.
